Good evening I.C. parents,
I hope everyone is doing well on this beautiful Sunday evening. Just want to go over everything going on this week.
Friday, March 3 the first, second and third grade will have a 3 unit spelling TEST not quiz. Last Friday I gave all the students a hard copy of their spelling words to study for the weekend. Due to the spelling test the first and second grade will have a reading log packet for homework (only) this week. Third grade will not have homework from my class because third grade needs to study for their spelling and vocabulary test. Please ask your children to take their books home to study however, please bring the books back the next day. Thank you.
Wednesday, March 1 is Ash Wednesday. We will have 8am mass, please have the children in their mass uniform. You might remember from last year my class gave up saying “Alleluia” by burying the word “Alleluia” It is a joy to sing and say Alleluia as response to our Lord’s conquering sin and death. Now during the days of Lent we say farewell to the word “Alleluia” so that we may take it up and praise our Lord on Easter.
Friday, March 3 The entire school will be doing the stations of the cross at 2pm every Friday. During this lent season please talk with your student about all the sacrifices that Jesus made for us and how much he love us.
