3rd through 8th graders are invited to participate in free enrichment in our newly formed Speech & Debate Team. Students will be issued a Passport to this Adventure. This weekend members of the Varsity and Junior Varsity team travel to USC to compete in the USC Delta Sigma Phi Business Fraternity sponsored event. The purpose of this tournament is to provide students an opportunity to utilize critical thinking, creativity, and educational purpose to debate/develop an original speech with their peers on a resolution that is both significant and controversial. Team meeting times have changed: Mondays 3 pm to 4:30 pm; Wednesday October 23rd from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Fridays 3 pm to 4:30 pm. Lunch time supervision will be provided on Wednesday October 23rd from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. by one of our parents. See Vice Principal Mrs. Stacy Bradshaw if you are interested in joining.
