Dear Immaculate Conception Family,
Thank you to the parents that attended our PTO meeting last night. It was great to share our exciting progress with you. Being part of the IC Community includes commitment. ALL families must be represented and are expected to participate and support the school. PTO meetings are required so EVERYONE can be informed.
Immaculate Conception School is happy to announce two additions to our faculty & staff. Ms. Roxanne Cardona is teaching the TK/K classroom. Mrs. Sarah Vielma is teaching our second/third grade class. Not only will Mrs. Vielma teach her class, but she will also teach Spanish to grades 1-8 beginning next week. She has a background that includes computer science and she will be a great asset to our students. Please join us in welcoming these multi-talented teachers to our school.
We also welcome Coach J (IC Alum) to coach our JV Boys Basketball Team. Track & Field is around the corner, if you can coach please let me know immediately.
Mark your calendars and join us for our fundraiser at Paco’s Restaurant (200 E. Foothill Blvd., Arcadia) on Jan. 19 anytime between 3-9PM. We are so grateful to our School Board for their commitment to Immaculate Conception Catholic School and it’s success. They have planned a fundraiser to meet the needs of our school. We are grateful for their generous donations to fund programs: including Meet the Masters, Spanish, After School Sports, Day Care and the Academic Decathlon. Please show your appreciation by having dinner at Paco’s next Tuesday. Students that participate will receive a free dress pass and will be excused from any homework assigned on January 19. Please present your receipt to your teacher.
Please come visit us at our OPEN HOUSE on January 31 after the 10:00AM mass.
Meet our teachers, visit the classrooms, and enjoy the book fair and science fair until 1:00PM. Parents, this is our chance to showcase our school. Please invite all friends especially the families that did not return.
New Family Registration for 2016-2017 school year has begun. Applications will be available in the school office. For more information call (626) 358-5129 or email clovano@icschoolmonrovia.org. In the near future re-registration packets will be sent home for our present school families.
On Saturday, February 6 there will be is a very important event for IC Parish & School. The 5:30 Mass will be the Installation Mass for our pastor, Fr. Randy. Our Bishop O’Connell will be the celebrant. Bishop O’Connell is very aware of our situation at Immaculate Conception, so this is a wonderful opportunity for our school families to show our support and dedication to IC. Please plan on joining us. The students are asked to wear the mass uniform. More information is coming.
Enclosed in our family envelope is a lot of important information regarding our upcoming Monte Carlo Night. We will need every family to step and do their share to make this a huge success for our school. We can do it and we know we can rely on you.
