DEAR INCOMING FOURTH GRADERS & PARENTS,
Each incoming fourth grader is required to read two fiction books and two nonfiction books. These will be due on the first day of school.
The required fiction book is Tales of the Fourth Grade Nothing. The other books must be chosen from the attached reading lists.
File Folder Book Report
All students must read Tales of the Fourth Grade Nothing, by Judy Blume and do a File Folder Book Report. Attached are the instructions for this book report. See link below.
Fiction Book of Your Choice
Pick one book of your choice from the Summer Reading List below to read. Upon returning to school, each student will take an AR test for this book.
Non-Fiction Book Report
Choose two non-fiction books from the Summer Reading List (see link below) to read before school begins. Most books are around 30-40 pages, Complete the attached graphic organizer and turn in on the first day of school.
