Good morning I.C. families,
I hope everyone’s weekend is a blessed one. I.C. school is celebrating Veteran’s Day this Thursday and Friday (NO SCHOOL), Because of the short week I will not be assigning a homework packet, reading log or a spelling quiz for THIS WEEK. However, I am assigning a spelling test for units 6, 7 and 8. The test will be given next Monday, November 14. The children have been doing really well on their quizzes, I feel they have enough confidence and knowledge to do well on a test with 30, 45 and 60 words (depending on which test they are taking). Please have them study their words over the holiday week, I have attached the spelling list below.
This Tuesday the children and I have decided to transform our beloved classroom into our very own presidential polling place. The children will have a voting booth to experience their right to place a vote. We have been talking about the voting process and privilege to fill out a ballot.
