Good morning IC families,
Want to start off by saying our class field trip to KID SPACE was awesome!!! The kids did great and had a blast!! A lot of learning going on. Our class got to dig for fossils and had a private class all about dinosaurs. We also explored the “Imagination Room” and made rafts out of odds and ends, it was great. Kid Space even brought out a tarantula at lunch time. Crazy!! We had a exciting and very informative learning experience.
Our Halloween Social is this Friday, October 28. Mrs. Karla Solis (Rainier’s mom) is still in need of volunteers. She needs booth coverage from 7-8pm, 8-9pm and 9-10pm. Mrs. Solis is also in need of Halloween decorations. Please contact Mrs. Solis about volunteering or donating. You can send your decorations to me and I will make sure they get to Mrs. Solis. If you want your decorations back please label them with your first and last name. Thank you.
This week is a short week, but I will be giving out a homework packet, reading log and giving a spelling quiz on Friday. The spelling words are listed below.
The children and I are discussing the political system, presidents and how they come into power. We will have a in class presidential election (polling area) for the children who would like to place their vote (November 7). This will not be a lesson about negativity or disgruntled behavior. This is a lesson about how we as Americans have the privilege and honor to choose who we want to vote for and how it works. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me.
